Wareika inseamna Henrik Raabe, Florian Schirmacher si Jakob Seidensticker. Produc muzica in studioul lor din Hamburg, aproape de port si spun ca peisajul le da sentimentul ca sunt mereu conectati la lume. Au un sound distinct, plin de vitalitate, un trip in lumea ritmurilor, in care houseul este revigorat si jazzul se intalneste cu techno. Ultimul album, Formation, care urmeaza a fi lansat in curand la labelul danez Tartelet, cuprinde piese inregistrate in concert, interludii la pian, improvizatie jazz, field recording, multe instrumente, o puzderie de influente si voce care pe alocuri imi aduce aminte de Elvis. Se aude de parca ar canta toti trei live la tine in sufragerie. Ai toate sansele sa dansezi in casa, cu mainile la tavan si cu fata la monitor. Intre 21 si 23 mai, la Iarmaroc. Miami’s WMC 2010

The Winter Music Conference has announced its dates for its 2010 edition.

The 25th anniversary of the event will take place from March 23 until March 27th. The networking is set to commence at a new venue this time around, with the Eden Roc Beach Resort serving as the official headquarters, replacing the Miami Beach Resort & Spa. With a hefty 500+ event, 1,900+ acts strong calendar last year, it stands to reason that the anniversary edition will only be bigger than ever before. With no details presented yet, we can only guess as to what they may have in store for the festivities. For those who know already that they’ll be heading down to Miami during March next year, we suggest getting in early: The early bird rate is $235 for a conference badge, but that will only hold until November 11th.

Outlook Festival 2009 – World’s biggest Dubstep Festival in Croatia, September 11-13th 2009

Outlook Festivals “Exodus to Croatia” is not only the biggest and most comprehensive dubstep line-up in the world but also features some of the best names in soundsystem culture from the worlds of Dub & Dubstep, Reggae, Dancehall, Roots, Soul and Dancefloor Beats. . . . . and the line-up is still growing. With more artists still to be announced this years festival looks set to explode.

After last years massive success at The Garden, Petrcane, and this years enormous launch party in London with over 1800 attendees (400 more than we had at last years festival) tickets for this years festival are flying out so quickly that we have had no choice but to find a bigger venue. Which is exactly what we have done. And we are overjoyed with the new location.

We can now accommodate twice the number of people (3000) with a club that can fit everyone in (just about). Sandy Beaches, Monster Soundsystem. . . a beautiful location for a week of great basslines & beats, good friends, great bodies and the perfect place to learn how to Bogle.

Our new home is on the Island of Pag, a place well known for its beautiful sandy beaches and parties that go long into the night. At the new site you can still swim in the glistening Adriatic, dance under the stars & join us aboard the amazing Boat Parties.

You can come and stay for a week or just a long weekend, there’s plenty to see and do and there will be entertainment and shenanigans provided for the duration. Musical entertainment will take place on a terraced bar on by the sea for day and night-time dancing, an outside amphitheatre overlooking the ocean for live acts, the nightclub and of course not forgetting the Boat Party.

The surrounding area is equally beautiful and there is loads to do such as island hopping, exploring the national parks and nearby mountains, enjoying the culinary delights of the local farming and fishing villages or simply relaxing on any of the various beaches – for more info please visit the local tourist board – www.croatia.hr

Transylvania Calling Festival 2009

Festival Info

Gates will open on the 18th at precisely 11:11 am. The festival itself will start the following day, on the 19th in the Ambient Forest with an opening ceremony, performances and World Music. The Mystical Forest Stage will run continuously until the end of the festival with a variety of sounds from World Music, Downbeat, Upbeat, Dub, Ambient and Experimental sounds provided by international Bands, Live acts and DJ´s.

The first 2 days (19th & 20th) of the festival will be focused on conferences, workshops, games, movies, and social and cultural interaction between the Tribes.

In total there will be 4 days and 4 nights (20th – 24th) of music on the Main/Dance stage with a flowing musical journey throughout the world of intelligent electronic music. All cultural attractions, art, music concerts, DJ sets, performances, conferences and workshops will finish on August 24, at precisely 11:11 pm.

At sunset on the following day, August 25, the gates will be closed.
